The Swedish music industry

Volante Research was tasked by Musiksverige (Music Sweden) in collaboration with the Swedish Agency for Regional Development and Growth to develop a method for measuring the size of the Swedish music industry.

The report includes both estimates of the domestic and the export market, including breakdowns of different sectors of the music industry.

The project included

• Development of a statistical model
• Economic estimates of the music industry
• Qualitative descriptions of how the the structures of the music industry are operating.
• Presentation attended by the Minister of Trade
